You won't always have positive thoughts about your body.

You are never going to be able to fully get rid of your ego, negative emotions, or the little voice inside your head whispering what’s wrong with your body. 

And that’s Ok.

You are NEVER done doing the work to learn how to love yourself correctly. There are so many little facets of yourself that you can focus on. Every little piece of your body. Every part of your personality. So much to discover and uncover in yourself. And you won’t love everything or see it all at once.

Even when you lose weight, you will still fluctuate. But guess what, your feelings about your weight don’t have to. And that’s the mindset that you have to get into.

There will be moments that you get triggered, but that won’t give you the energy you need in your life. So you learn to redirect that thought and not focus on it.

Don’t beat yourself up on a negative thought that passes through your mind.

You won’t get rid of them. You just learn to not focus on them.

But it doesn’t mean anything that it’s there. You have not been taken back in progress because of it. You just let the thought float by and not dwell on it.

Do you feel like you need to protect your energy because you are influenced by others? When it comes to food we often want to copy what other people are doing around food instead of tuning into our own wants and needs. We can also allow others to influence our decisions. But ultimately we are the ones in the driver’s seat after all - we are the only one who will ultimately feel our feelings so we have to make sure we are the ones who ultimately decide how things go.

Something that I’ve been learning to shift lately is not not be so guarded when changing my limiting beliefs - trust and know that if you attract a lot of people fearing food and wanting to believe that weight has to be a struggle you eventually won’t feel as triggered as your confidence compounds.

Confidence is just a practice. Everything is just a practice. Keep going.

Our Egos create stories. These stories, or perceptions of our lives, usually revolve around what can be easy or hard for us to do. Is it hard for us to have control around food? Is it easy for us to wake up at 6 AM to get some meditation and mind work before starting our day?

 

One of the best parts of having a coach is having someone who can point those stories out to you. Not that they have to fix them for you, but they get to bring them into your consciousness.

But the problem with these stories is not only that they make these changes more difficult. But if we beat ourselves up about them or pay too hard attention to them, we are then focusing too hard on the problem and not the solution.

So don’t.

Don’t beat yourself up around a perception that you can change. 

You get to create your reality, no matter what. This is applied to not only weight loss, but relationships and money as well. It can be applied in every aspect of your life.

Changing your reality isn’t about bypassing the work. You still need to work to physically change these realities along with changing your perception around yourself.

You can get stuck in your current reality -- but manifestation is about knowing you can change it.

Manifestation doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and it can be hardest when the wins aren’t rolling in yet. But you just have to keep believing and keeping expanding your mindset. Have hope that your life will change and you can make it happen.

You have to keep repeating the work day after day.

Do not focus on the lack - the parts where you mess up. You are always moving forward is the mindset that you have to have. Sure, you slipped up at that moment, but it doesn’t define you. You move on so that in the long run, when you look back, you can see how far you have come by shifting yourself day after day. You will never be a vibrational match to your manifestation if you choose to focus on the lack.

You won’t just jump to empowered - and that is ok.

It’s the daily work were you really start making an impact on yourself. You can’t just focus on the wins along the way, but watch yourself shifting through the small changes every day. Don’t let your brain slip back into the negativity.

109 // Putting Yourself Back On Track

Two years ago, if you had told me that I would be where I am now, I wouldn’t have believed you. 

I’ve become obsessed with manifestation and not only for my emotional eating and weight loss. I now love having manifestation coaches in many different areas of my life! They help me to grow in areas that I struggle on my own and I completely understand the value. 

I know to have compassion and not to judge myself, and you should too.

It’s ok for you to be an imperfect person.

It’s ok for you to have things that you know you want to shift in your life.

I know that I catch myself telling stories to myself again and again in different areas of my life that I now know I can change.

I’m constantly growing as a person and shifting what needs to be shifted.

Recently, one of my biggest shift moments was dealing with loneliness. I came back from Bali and caught myself telling stories about how hard it was to work alone and to live alone. I caught my appetite wavering all over the place.

But then I was reminded that when you act like a vibrational match to loneliness, you feel it more.

So I had to shift my thinking away from those thoughts and change my reality.

It can be difficult because your Ego sneaks back into your head and keeps trying to tell you why you can’t do something. You have to change that.

It’s not your job to never get off track again, it’s going to happen, and that’s alright.

But it is your job to keep putting yourself back on track.

I don’t have to have the perfect diet to lose or maintain my weight. I still maintain my unconditional self-love, even if something does start to look fluffy. The how is not what is at the forefront of my brain. It’s focusing on my energy and identity around what I’m manifesting instead.

As Abraham Hicks said, no amount of action can make up for the misalignment. You have to have alignment with what you want to manifest to do anything about it.

Do you tell yourself that your weight is why you are single?

This is a fallacy that I hear again and again in my coaching and courses. Your weight is NOT why you are single. But it can be a reality that you are manifesting for yourself. There are so many reasons why this can be a problem in your journey and life.

First off, there is no correlation to weight and relationships. There are overweight people in happy marriages and thin people who are single.

You have to look into the stories that you are telling yourself. Are you telling yourself that you will only be desirable once you have lost weight? Because then that is the reality that you are creating for yourself. You have control of your reality. Change your mindset and things may change.

Second, this belief can also turn your weight into something that you hide behind. That if you lose the weight that you want to, and are still single, then something else is wrong with you. This is also the wrong mindset to have!

Things about yourself that in your mind you have deemed un-loveable might be exactly what someone else loves!

Remember, you attract what is within you. What is happening to you is a reflection of what is going on within your mind.

107 // How Co-Dependency Affects Your Emotional Eating

Do you show signs of codependency?

Having a co-dependent personality can be directly tied to your emotional eating habits. By being too passive in my relationships, I was enabling someone else to control me. This then led to me turning to other behaviors, such as my emotional eating, to meet my own needs.

But the more I worked on my co-dependency, the less I needed to overeat. I was manifesting less dependency by taking ownership of my own decisions. Just as I talked about trusting yourself around food to become a vibrational match with your weight loss manifestation, I had to learn to trust myself. 

I had to believe that I could make the correct decisions on my own instead of seeking the trust and approval of others.

Value yourself versus seeking approval.

And this is the same when it comes to your weight loss journey. You can’t be searching for approval from others to truly manifest weight loss. You have to align yourself where you are currently and love yourself before any of the real work can begin.

There is so much more to losing weight than just food.

The process I used to overcome co-dependency was the same I used to overcome emotional eating, which is all outlined in Emerge.

106 // Trust Yourself with Food

Trusting myself around food was a massive thing for me. It’s such a massive part of manifesting your weight loss. Wrapping your mind around manifestation can take a bit. You have to practice awareness and bring yourself gently back when you notice that you have not been aware of the item of your focus for a little bit.

 

It’s being the observer and not just reacting to everything or every memory.

When you are becoming a vibration match to what you want, you start to form new habits slowly. But it takes a certain amount of focusing to really implement. When you want to trust yourself, but know you have “failed” in the past, it can hold you back.

Instead, you need to re-frame that memory. You made a mistake in the past, but you can change your future.

Just because you choose to believe you can trust yourself around food, doesn’t mean you will wake up tomorrow with great habits. Things take a while to manifest in your life. But by trusting yourself now, you soften your mindset to be able to let the habits just be there. At the end of the day, if you want to trust yourself fully, you have to either just trust yourself OR trust that something higher than yourself will guide you.

Don’t focus on the lack. Focus on what you want.

Don’t just give up all boundaries around food. Giving up is getting rid of all your boundaries. And Dieting mentality makes you think that you either have to overeat or restrict yourself. But Moderation is the in-between and energy that you need.

By giving yourself permission to do less, you can just enjoy life and relax. Not feel like you need to fill the nothing with food.

In manifestation, you have to tell yourself you can trust yourself BEFORE you actually can.
